A search has begun at North Northamptonshire Council to find a consultant for a town regeneration masterplan with an estimated value of £90,000 for this two-stage development.

Covering the towns of Corby, Kettering, Rushden and Wellingborough, consultants must complete the two phases: strategic review and health check, followed by the masterplan to set out the growth goals of one the four towns. Each has been identified as a growth town in the Growth Strategy and North Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy as having one of the fastest growing populations in the country.

Current projects in the areas include the Smart and Connected Corby, establishing a green town centre and improving station links through the Corby Towns fund, restoration of Kettering High Street and conservation areas, and building on the facilities at Wellingborough to address capacity and safety.

The participation will be awarded 60% for price to 40% quality.
