Input sought on development of extra care housing for older people in Liscard, Wirral

Demolished in August 2025, the Municipal Building site along Seaview Road, Liscard, Wirral, CH45 4LA, is now a development opportunity.

Wirral Council have identified a strong need for extra care housing for both older people and adults with learning disabilities or mental health conditions and has launched a Preliminary Market Engagement for the 2-acre site to determine interest in the development.

The goal is to prepare a delivery strategy centred on the requirement of extra care facilities. 

Further information is available on the e-tendering portal where all responses should be submitted. Applicants will be asked a series of questions specific to the project and may be invited to discuss responses in more detail following the deadline.
