Feedback sought on plans for residential development on the site of Feltham Barracks

Feedback from suitable suppliers is encouraged for the re-development of the Feltham Barracks site. The 30-acre military installation was earmarked for closure in 2016 and now sees The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) in need of a development partner to join the London Borough of Hounslow and Greater London Authority.

Originally a War Office Depot, the site will become part of the DIO’s portfolio to maximise housing delivery with the Ministry of Defence adopting a ‘forces first’ approach to prioritise the homes for military families.

Plans currently propose 3,000 homes with additional public realm but feedback on the housing mix and masterplan principles are being sought.

Once engagement is complete and the competition is launched, the DIO will be looking to secure a developer that can secure detailed planning consent; funding and deliver the scheme in accordance with landowner parameters.
