The Department for Transport is exploring a public-private partnership to deliver the HS2 Euston Station.

Under the proposed model, a private sector partner would be appointed on a design, build, finance and maintain model, with responsibility for detailed design and construction of the station infrastructure, followed by ongoing maintenance over a long-term contracted period. A parallel procurement is planned for an engineering and design partner, who will act as lead designer and design integrator across the entire Euston campus programme.

The HS2 Euston Station will serve as the London terminus for the high-speed railway linking Birmingham and London, providing improved high-speed connectivity into central London.

The Department  for Transport is currently establishing the Euston Delivery Company (EDC), which will serve as “the campus-wide directing mind for the programme”. The EDC will lead delivery of a renewed Euston and support delivery of a development masterplan led by Lendlease

This initial stage of preliminary market engagement is generally open to all persons who are in participating in the delivery of the HS2 Euston Station. Participants who return a questionnaire may be invited to one-to-one meetings or roundtable discussions to explore some responses in greater detail.

You may only be invited to participate in aspects of the exercise that are considered relevant to you, based on your potential role in the delivery of the HS2 Euston Station (including potential roles in the delivery supply chain), which you will be required to explain in the questionnaire.

The station forms a key component of a broader Euston programme encompassing the redevelopment of the conventional mainline station, significant London Underground interchange upgrades, improvements to local bus and taxi infrastructure, and surrounding development at the heart of Camden Council’s and the Greater London Authority’s wider area plans.
