The shortlisted teams will present their projects to the judges from 24-26 February with winners announced at the party on 22 April

The finalists for The Pineapples awards for place 2026 have been announced with 129 projects shortlisted by the judges for their contribution to place. View all finalists below.
The second stage of the judging will now begin, with teams from all 20 categories presenting to the judges at the live-streamed Festival of Pineapples online event, 24 - 26 February 2026, free to watch with registration.
At the online judging event, the shortlisted projects will have 10 minutes to present to the judges, who can ask follow-up questions. The judges will then deliberate in private with winners announced on 22 April at an awards party at Trinity Buoy Wharf, London.

Tickets to the awards party are on sale now and include food and a two-hour complimentary drinks reception, followed by a cash bar, with music and entertainment across the evening.
Now in their 8th year, the awards are inspired by the pineapple as a traditional symbol of prosperity and welcome in architecture – with golden pineapples at the top of St Paul’s Cathedral.
Launched by The Developer’s founding editor-in-chief Christine Murray and co-founder James MacLeod, the awards recognise projects at all stages of their lifecycle that contribute positively to urban life.

To select the shortlist, judges review entries online and score projects for their design, engagement and evidence-based social and environmental impact on places.
For the second phase of judging, at least one judge will visit the shortlisted built works for a more complete understanding of the experience of the place. Winner are decided by conversation and unanimous agreement of the judging panel.
The Pineapples 2026 is sponsored by partners who share its commitment to bringing communities together in places that thrive:
ROCKWOOL Limited is supporting the Healthy Homes category, created in association with the TCPA, to celebrate completed homes that promote the health of residents and citizens.
Tectonix is supporting the Place in Progress category because it believes small touches of quality in the public realm can have big impacts.
Vestre is supporting the Future Public Realm and Public Space categories to celebrate projects that make cities more welcoming, inclusive, and resilient.
