University of Huddersfield seeks architects and consultants for new £13m professional framework

The University of Huddersfield is seeking a range of professionals for multi-disciplinary works as part of their Professional Services Framework. At an estimated value of £13 million, the five lots to be awarded will make up Framework A.

 

Over the course of this process, maintenance, refurbishment and decarobonisation works are to be expected. These can range from targeted works to whole-building projects across the two sites accommodating the university. 

 

32 buildings currently sit at the Queensgate campus but high-level plans for additional structures are in the works for the Southgate site.

 

The biggest regeneration expected is the seven-acre National Health Innovation Campus (NHIC). With up to seven buildings expected, the new development is a major boost in the future of the university and its planned partnerships. 

 

Interest in participating should be submitted by 17 March, with three to four consultants expected to appointed per lot.

 

Stage 1 will include a selection questionnaire, and successful bidders will be invited to proceed to stage 2, invitation to tender, after the final deadline on 24 March 2026.

Lot 4. Interior Design Services

Lot 5. Structural, Drainage, Civils & Infrastructure Services

The remaining 5 Lots (Lot 6-10) will be issued following pre-market engagament, including a virtual presentation and Q&A to be completed by 20 March.  Interested bidders will have the opportunity to enquire about the framework and procurement process.
