With the goal of discovering the extraordinary stories of the people making an impact on the community, Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) seeks a consultant to lead the creation of a trail of artwork.

Crossing each of the Boroughs, the commissioned public art will celebrate ordinary people. By preserving these local stories, the art will celebrate heritage and increase community pride plus draw engagement and visitors.

Enhancing tourism is one of the six priorities set out in the TVCA’s strategic economic growth plan and part of the Tees Valley Heritage Strategy.

The consultant is asked to define a vision for the mural project, forming the base for engaging public spaces along the route. As part of this first phase, key groups and partners must be identified alongside the best programme for community engagement.

Phase two will dependant on the outcome of phase one and subject to funding approval with tender being awarded on criteria of quality, price and social value.
