108 mid-market rent homes to be built at one of the most significant brownfield regeneration projects
Wheatley Housing Group Limited are seeking a team to deliver 108 affordable homes at the site of the former Royal Bank of Scotland headquarters in Edinburgh.
The 5.9 acre site is one of the city’s most significant brownfield regeneration opportunities and sits on the northern edge of the New Town World Heritage Site at Dundas Street.
The wider £250million regeneration will include 207 private rent homes and 591 student bedrooms alongside the mid-rent homes and significant public realm.
All of which have been proposed and developed in partnership with Edison, Fusion and Orian Capital Managers.
The site was originally bought and planned for development in 2017 by the Royal Bank of Scotland but sold to Orion Capital Managers in 2019. Following the pandemic, plans were scraped until the new plans launched in 2024 and the Wheatley Group signed on as landlords for the 108 homes in December 2025.
