Shot and edited over three years, The Granby Winter Garden is an immersive 360 film that captures the process of realising the Winter Garden from its derelict state to its use as a community space, set against the backdrop of the surrounding neighbourhood with the voices of the Four Streets community.

The film is a collaboration between Rob Vincent of Popla Media and design collective Assemble, working with director and cameraman David Betteridge, and made with support from digital commissioning agency The Space.

Vincent writes: "One of our aims when making this film was to convey the aspirations of the residents themselves and make them the focus of the experience. The narrative for the film is therefore delivered, owned and driven by the residents who touch on their feelings about the past and, more importantly, voice their hopes for the future.

Vincent says the soundbites are drawn from interviews conducted over the three years of the build: "We hope that, when experiencing this film, the viewer will feel as if they are actually in Granby, in the midst of something extraordinary."
